Publication refused: Empty analysis dossier — cannot produce an article without source material

I received a request to write a 2,945-word Vietnamese sports news article. The attached dossier, labelled Stage-1, shows the entire analytical system falling into an N/A state: no source article title, no source, no event, no identified organisation or individual, and not a single information point to anchor on. But even a patient chronicler like me cannot write when no event has been assigned. There are three minimum requirements any sports article needs. Third: an absolute time marker — day, month, year, never a phrase like 'this week' or 'last season'. All three are absent. People argue with emotion; I reply with pressing numbers. But I have no pressing numbers here, no midfielder touch count, no pass-completion rate, no wage bill, no contract expiry. If I insisted on writing 2,945 words right now, I would have to fabricate. That is something I — a beat reporter once told that 'women only talk about football through emotion' — will never do. I built my career on cross-verifying every number in reverse, to the point of becoming the most frequent corrector of false statistics in the newsroom. A fabricated piece would betray all of it. Therefore, my professional response is: no news article will be published in this session. The input dossier must be resubmitted with, at minimum: (1) a source article or event identified by name and a public-source date, (2) at least one core, citable piece of information, and (3) the related entities. Once those exist, I will begin immediately. Being locked outside is the fastest lesson in how the inside really operates. This time I was stopped at the gate itself, because that gate does not exist in the dossier. That is not a failure of journalism. It is respect for the reader: they deserve more than an article stuffed from nothing.
